Over forty years ago in Arlington Texas, Our LORD Jesus Christ brought together three Christians: Pastor Ray Loven, an ordained Baptist minister; Reverend Adu Boahene, an ordained minister from Ghana, West Africa; and Lynn Squires, a Christian businessman.   In the years that followed, they would become friends and companions in leading a missionary outreach into Ghana that would further bring The Word of God to the people of West Africa, transforming the lives of thousands.

Now after a lifetime of supporting Christian endeavors through their respective areas of responsibility, these three men are renewing their commitment to spreading God’s Word in West Africa by the creation of a new entity, Arizona Missionary Resources, a 501(c3) nonprofit United States based charity.   Joining them in their task are long-time associates, Pastor Gary Southard, currently pastoring First Baptist Church Palmer, Texas and Mr. William R. Black Jr., a retired Christian businessman.

In Ghana, Reverend Adu Boahene, formerly founder and head of The Baptist Missionary Association of West Africa has placed his formidable reputation and experience alongside AMR’s commitment by creating a new Ghanian Government approved charity, Hope in Messiah Needy Foundation, (website: www.himfoundation.net) which will coordinate AMR’s and other like-minded individual and organizational contributions to benefit those in the countries served.

Reverend Boahene and his organization possess extensive contacts in West Africa including the countries of Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burkina Faso, Côte D’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo to which they have previously sent missionary support along with medical and financial assistance.   They have broad experience in dealing with international Christian ministries and various governmental regulations.   We believe this experience and their proven dedication to the Cause of Christ will be a key factor to AMR’s future success in Africa.
